2023 DBT & RO-DBT Programs

The 2023 DBT & RO-DBT programs are now open for registration! Both programs will be run from Melbourne and the Gold Coast as well as online. We also have 2 DBT groups being run in Sydney NSW. Numbers are limited so register ASAP. From 2023 all participants will undergo an initial assessment to enter our programs with the most appropriate program for your particular concern identified following a one or two-session assessment period. Both Ro-DBT and DBT have skills classes which predominately are delivered after hours through our Essentia Health Clinics.

The Australian DBT Institute, established in 2004, provides a range of professional development opportunities for Mental Health Professionals seeking to become proficient in dialectical behaviour therapy-informed approaches. Our team is led by experienced DBT clinicians who have received training, mentoring, and development from Marsha Linehan’s team at Behavioral Tech LLC (2004-8). The Australian DBT Institute has led high-fidelity DBT programs since 2004 through the Essentia Health Clinics in Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast, and online via Telehealth. Our clinical programs have included comprehensive DBT and modified DBT programs for specific populations including youth, carers, Indigenous Australians, correctional settings, and psychiatric emergency settings.
